Everything about Taman Hillview totally explained
Taman Hillview is a major township in the
Klang Valley. It is located in
Ulu Klang,
Selangor,
Malaysia. Taman Hillview is prone to frequent landslides. Located just off the
Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2, it was once home to a considerable number of western expatriates but in recent years, with the deteriorating size of the expatriate community, has become increasingly inhabited by locals. The area has been the host of a number of landslides over the years, particularly the
Highland Towers collapse as well as several other fatal landslides which have affected the local community. Taman Hillview is located roughly halfway between Ampang and Melawati.
Taman Sri Ukay is a residential area located immediately adjacent to Taman Hillview.
Due to its proximity to the numerous
hills here, many houses and apartments are seen to be built on these hills. As the hills are quite soft and as
rain occurs very frequently here,
erosion starts to take place. Finally, a landslide occurs.
